Some of the pen guys at Lion and Pen were saying that General Manufacturing was in business at least until 1926, imprinting their Snapfil pens from 1921 to 1926 with General Manufacturing Company, Sioux City, Iowa, USA and two patent dates. They were saying that the Jiffy part of Houston's business ran from 1917 to 1923, when he sold it to someone (a Norwegian immigrant, they said) in Sioux City, where it continued until 1936. No mention of Sheaffer.
